Did the Patriots actually look better when they were losing to the Eagles and the Dolphins than they did beating the Jets?

One thing's for sure. Losing to the Dolphins 24-17 looks a whole lot better today. Like 46 points better.
No, 15 points isn't going to win a lot of games in the NFL, but it won this one and that's all that really matters. Between the Jets defense and the weather conditions on Sunday, it's difficult to say but I think the Patriots are getting better. No turnovers, no penalties, 8 of 19 on 3rd down and what appeared to be a credible running game (157 yards on the ground against a good Jets front 7).
No, I'm not booking air and hotel for Super Bowl LVIII.
Yes, the Patriots need to get better, but it looks possible the Patriots are not only trending in the right direction, they might actually be better than the pigskin pundits and bobbleheads were saying after they fell to 0-2-0.
I was really hoping the Cowboys would beat the Cardinals (I hate road games against a team coming off a loss), but maybe Dallas isn't as good as everyone thought.
I love it when a narrative comes together.
